The Leo Club Program was founded in 1967 by Lions Clubs International to provide young people with an opportunity to develop leadership skills while serving their communities. The name LEO represents the core values of Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity, which continue to guide the movement worldwide.
From its inception, the Leo movement was envisioned as a platform where youth could take initiative, learn responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to society through organized service.
Over the decades, Leo Clubs expanded rapidly across continents, becoming one of the largest youth service organizations in the world. Supported by Lions Clubs International, Leos gained access to mentorship, global networking, and structured leadership development while remaining youth-led in action and spirit.
This global expansion strengthened the idea that young people, when trusted with responsibility, can lead impactful and sustainable change.
Inspired by the global Leo movement, Leo Clubs were established in Nepal to empower young individuals through service, leadership, and fellowship. Nepali Leos embraced community-based service projects that addressed local needs while fostering unity, discipline, and social responsibility among youth.
Over time, the movement grew stronger, with multiple Leo Clubs actively serving across different regions of the country.
As the number of Leo Clubs increased, Leo District Councils were formed to ensure coordination, leadership development, and effective implementation of programs. District Councils serve as the administrative and leadership backbone of the Leo movement within their respective jurisdictions.
They provide guidance, training, and a unified direction while preserving the autonomy and creativity of individual Leo Clubs.
Leo District Council 325 H, Nepal was established to support and represent Leo Clubs within its district. The council acts as a bridge between Leo Clubs, Lions leadership, and the broader Leo movement, ensuring that service initiatives are impactful, organized, and aligned with Leo values.
Through district-level leadership, training programs, and collaborative service projects, LDC 325 H has played a vital role in strengthening youth leadership and fostering a culture of service.
From its early days to the present, Leo District Council 325 H, Nepal has continued to evolve with changing times. The district has emphasized:
